Genting Highlands is a mountain peak within the Titiwangsa
Mountains of Peninsular Malaysia
and is home to a famous mountain resort by the same name.
Straddling on the borders of Malaysian states of Pahang and
Selangor, it can be reached in over an hour by car from Kuala
Lumpur or via the fastest moving cable car in Southeast Asia.
It is sometimes known as the Las Vegas of Malaysia as it
is the only legal land-based casino in Malaysia, run by the
Genting Group. The resort also features many hotels owned
by Genting subsidiaries including Genting Hotel, Highland
Hotel, Resorts Hotel, Theme Park Hotel, and Awana Genting.

a theme park, golf course, shopping malls, sky diving simulator,

Genting Highlands functions every year as the finish of a
stage in the Tour de Langkawi cycling race. It is one of the

the hill is the Chinese temple called Chin Swee Temple for
Chinese and the mosque called Masjid Yayasan Mohammad Noah
